The fact of choosing a profession is itself a moment of crisis in the teenager's life is an important but very difficult time and different. He has to think ahead, think of a life project ... and I think it is too. encounter the wall of his personality, at times, completely immature, and fears come to the surface of the unknown and responsibilities.
Knowing a little postmodern youth and by chance discovered that attempt to answer existential questions like: Who am ? Where did I come? Where do I go? Who want to be? What do I live? Why do I live? What is life? What is the meaning of life? However, as a matter of age and up to an imposition social (since all they ask you, what will you study?) we feel the need to respond to a question as important as puzzling a question alienated the profession, we are digging into my conscience whispering ... What I do with my life?
Faced with the problem of the profession, we believe they are pretty mediocre advice that society gives us about the issue. We often hear the phrase "study what you like." This advice is not bad and usually give people with good will, but we recognize that it is a great deficiency. First, because the problem is "not at all clear what we like" second, because in every race there will always be some things that I like and third, if I really guided by what I like may not examine, or study how to be in the Caribbean, sunbathing and drinking a strawberry smoothie (of course that race does not exist). Another tip or criterion has its shortcomings is a desire to find "a sprint, easy and you have job prospects." This criterion is to pursue the impossible, but it is what we often have in mind. We must realize that these things depend more on us than the race itself. A 5-year career may end up lasting 8 but this depends on me. A career is more or less easier as time, effort and dedication that you use, which also depend on me. It also makes it difficult to find among our friends who chose a career good valid reasons and criteria that can be applied to our reality. Because they either decide not to study anything, or if study of young children do so because they had chosen to study this or that race, or because it is family tradition, or because they have facilities in order to intellectually, or because they like it too, or have great skill in any discipline, or just because. As we see, to put God as the foundation and meaning of life, makes us consistent with our way of life, and gives us the answers needed to avoid falling into a nihilistic nonsense. Hence the first step in this process of growth and crystallization of our personality, is to leave the God we thought distant, abstract and indifferent, to rediscover that God is close, concrete, real, which is always with us and guide us toward Him, and without which we can not find our life project.
