How Bad Is Osteopenia

Martial Art Beyond the acrobatics.

Sure, shows like this have made us who live a few thousand kilometers of the East we have only scratched the surface of martial arts. When we reduce a martial art, whatever it is, a "fighting art", we lose a very important and interesting, "the martial art as a path or way of knowledge, wisdom and transcendence."

A man or a woman who only develop physical and motor skills (speed, strength, endurance, flexibility ...) is an athlete. A human being incomplete. Man is more than a body.

A man who only engaged in cultivating their spirit is a monk. It is also incomplete. Man is more than a soul or spirit.

Man to be complete, to realize their full potential need to cultivate all the dimensions that constitutes it:
  • physics.
  • psychics. The emotional
  • The spiritual.

A martial art is a road or pathway for the full development of human beings. This is important.

Passion, interest, desire, motivation and enthusiasm. .. call it "X". But without it, sooner or later, abandon the practice of tai chi. So tell me, is not worth having this and care as care for a seedling in a container, to grow and give fruit? What moves you to practice tai chi?, What motivates you?, Why do you practice tai chi? What are the reasons that led you to learn? Think about it ...

Sometimes I'm spellbound, rapt, watching the new students, beginners, and I wonder what will have been practicing tai chi? Some reflected in his manner, as to act and to move a special interest, are eager to learn. I remind myself in my principles. That is when I discover, somewhat surprised, that this enthusiasm to learn more of the past has changed. With years of practice my motivation has changed. AAAAHHH! interesting motivation can change .... Curious, no?.

Yes, over the years I learned some things. I started practicing tai chi to learn how to defend myself. So we pay much attention to the whole issue of self-defense techniques. Furthermore, she wanted to be strong and to this end, the muscles trained with all kinds of strengthening exercises, abdominals, lower back, push-ups ... etc. Besides going to the gym, trained on my own out of hours in the park behind my house to wear "handle."

Looking back in time, going over my motives, I see that after this first stage came next. The more quiet and restrained. My biggest motivation was, after some injuries in my career as an athlete, trying to maintain health, fitness and stay a little fit. Nothing to do with my previous. I kept practicing tai chi (this time), but focusing more attention on the perfection of the posture and movements. My training became a bit more "internal." In addition to the correct position, I was interested to learn well in coordinating the breath with each movement and the exact implementation the body of the opponent of the various techniques of attack and defense.

Now I see that after this second stage, came third. My interest is especially focused on creativity. I sought to make "my own tai chi" using the experience gained by years of practice. Merges several disciplines: the tai chi (Yang and Chen styles), the kung-fu (Jen You Kuen style) and Aikido (only some concepts.) The result of this mixture of martial arts styles is far from being complex or complicated, the opposite. Always look for (and still do) simplicity. I think it difficult, easy, and it is difficult to precisely make it easy.

Today, I am in a phase different from above. Now my interest is focused on energy. Seeking always apply The Law of Least Effort to each and every one of the postures and techniques of tai chi that I do without losing one iota of efficiency. In addition, I have expanded the range of tai chi to other areas of my life. I want to transfer what they learned by doing the most development activities that took place in my daily life, from writing or wash the dirty dishes to the explanations I give to my students in class.

Gradually, my tai chi has become more domestic, softer, more comfortable and personalized, but also more efficient. Slowly but surely the practice of tai chi has been transformed into something more than a defense system or method to maintain health, has become a philosophy of life in a way to learn to live with myself and others and learn to cope in this life in a more conscious and satisfying.

Therefore, the motivation, interest and desire of tai chi has been changed and fluctuated over my entire career in the martial arts world. This is my story, but I'm sure you have your own. Stop and think and ask yourself the following: your reasons or motives for practicing tai chi sufientes force do you have to imagine yourself to practicing the old man / to? Good question, eh?

Why Doctar Give Susten 200 Capsule

Approach in Tai Chi.

The teaching method of rote learning, along with trial and error, one of the oldest methods and used even today in various settings and circumstances. Thus, repeated over and over again a sequence of movements is the most used, by far, when we learn tai chi chuan, especially the forms (taolu).

Advantages of repetition.
Initially, repeat help to stay with the sequence of moves to make and go a few sequences refers to the following to finally end all the way to learn. In addition, repeat favors the development of memory helps us to internalize the order, the name of each movement, etc. Finally, repeat allows us to correct motion errors, adjusting and perfecting each one, gradually.

Later, at a later stage, dominated and internalized and each of the movements that make up a form, repetition helps us to disconnect with the body and movements that are running, to vanish and connect with others, call them, " realities. " We thus come to a dimension beyond the here and now, beyond space-time. It is then that the tai chi becomes a method of meditation: "Meditation for the Movement."

Disadvantages of repetition.
The students often complain that they are bored to repeat and repeat. They do not understand why they have to repeat over and over something that already do. They see it as an unfair limitation, a check against the opponents and resist. They create a terrible sense of stagnation and non-progression in their learning level that leads them even to question the teaching methods used by the monitor or master of tai chi.

feel this is normal. This society of ours where we are all involved have created (and still does) in our needs very important in sustaining attention and learning:

  • The need for incentives different, ie, to perform varied tasks that break the monotony.
  • The need for intense stimuli, ie, activities with sufficient force to keep us alert and attentive.
  • And the need for immediate results in the short term, to keep us motivated.

The problem .
Teachers and tai chi instructors are facing a serious problem. Because what is clear is that if the students are bored continuously during tai chi is more than likely you will end up abandoning the practice. And, of course, this is not at all. By contrast, insufficient use of repetition as a method of teaching and learning involves and implies a severe limitation of the above advantages. Then, as monitors or tai chi master, what to do, how to solve this problem?

Alternatives and solutions.
I am aware that in other previous entries posted on this blog suggested and defended parallel and alternative activities such as the variety of tasks and work with creativity to avoid falling into the routine and boredom. Now, however, given the importance of repetition as a method of teaching and learning, we try to find solutions work it did not avoid or look the other way.
  • Understanding the full benefits of repetition. Remember and dwell on them.
  • As important as the goal is the journey made. Focus more on "do it right now" on the road that we still have to go. Raising
  • small challenges, challenges to discover while running or repeat the same movement or subtle sequence differences by focusing on different aspects like:

    • The stability-instability of the position: feet or so apart, orientation tips of toes, degree of knee flexion, greater or lesser opening of the pelvis, trunk pitch ... etc.
    • pleasant-unpleasant sensations. Focus on the sensations arising from the execution sequence of movement or trying to reduce the unpleasant sensations with slight variations: less flex knees, open a little more hip ... etc.
    • transmission power for different body segments. When performing the same movement or sequence try to visualize the flow of internal energy to different parts of the body, learning to locate and concentrate at the right time in the appropriate zone to achieve a more efficient technology.
    • Coordination between breathing (inspiration-expiration) and the movements. Learn when to breathe in and execute the same movement or sequence, see how it affects breathing in drive technology made ... etc.
    • speed run (fast-slow). Practice the same movement or sequence varying speeds to find the motor expression which best fits the defensive technique used. Not all movement must be done slowly. This is false. You have to attend at the right speed depending on the type of technique.
    • His martial application. To successfully execute the same movement or sequence is necessary to understand its martial application as a technique for attack or defense. Otherwise, the movement will be empty or absent of meaning and significance.
    • The ability to act without acting, just drifting with no will or intention to put the motor running, leaving arising spontaneously.

proposals
This list is not closed. Now it's up to you to continue expanding it. It would also be interesting to establish a sequence of events when a focus on other aspects.

Through this article I tried to let you know the importance of the method of repetition in the teaching-learning processes applied to tai chi, its advantages and disadvantages and provide some ideas to try to lessen or diminish the problem of boredom and disgust at having to repeat the same movement or sequence.

Regards and remember: "We seguirmos the track."
