Mexico with the color of the Jacarandas

MEXICO WITH THE COLOR of the jacaranda

This season, the prelude to Easter, Mexico shines with the color of the jacaranda trees in bloom. Overlook streets and avenues gallant and graceful light staining spaces. The city is dressed in purple, and appear as guayacanes and flower in May. All a feast for the eyes, which contrasts with traffic and fumes from cars.
At the National Palace, adjacent to the Cathedral and the Plaza Mayor, is still open the exhibition on the occasion of the Bicentennial. The large rooms give us a walk through history, from colonial independence until now. Rooms with a profusion of goodies, pictures and captions transcribed in the use of audiovisual media. A success to be admired.
The center of the capital looks clean, with security and many streets around pedestrian only, such as wood, with its profusion of local jewelry shops, and Iturbide Palace which also houses inside, a tribute to the Bicentennial. The National Auditorium
presented over four days to a full house, the show Alejandro Fernández "The Colt" Excellent show that we enjoyed with its three huge screens, excellent sound and order to the time of departure.
Sumaya Museum, newly opened, designed by billionaire Carlos Slim, the Spirit fills us with his vast private collection of works by Rodin and Dali, Italian paintings, French, Mexican, coin collection, contrasts in perfect harmony with its modern architecture.
Two days in Oaxaca, declared a World Heritage Site, with its fine ironwork balconies, the archaeological ruins of Monte Alban and Mitla, the tree of Tulle, the Santo Domingo Convent Museum, with its fabulous collection found at the Tomb seven, next to the Church of Santo Domingo, colonial gem, with its vaulted ceiling, drawn in gold filigree, supplemented this new trip to Mexico. A delicious breakfast in the November 20 Municipal Market, Craft Market neighbor. Sitting in one of the restaurants around the Zocalo, to take the pulse of the city listening to the violin and marimba musicians. Harnessing Oaxacan cuisine, with its fine string cheese, and stay overnight in one of the hotels that are located in the restored colonial houses for those purposes, make the perfect finishing touch for a short vacation. Attached to all the opportunity to attend the wedding of my niece and goddaughter share Friends of many years. Nothing more to say: Mexico always welcomes us and asks us to return.
